Article 2: Scope
The present terms and conditions of sale apply to all Maître Parfumeur et Gantier product sales via the company’s website ( and for delivery to all countries. These terms and conditions of sale apply to private individuals only. Resales or distribution of Maître Parfumeur et Gantier products purchased on this website is strictly prohibited. Article 3: Pricing
The prices shown are in euros and are inclusive of all taxes. Delivery costs are as stated in Article 9. Taraka Tradition et Parfums reserves its right to modify the price of the products advertised on the website without prior notice. The products are invoiced as per the prices shown on the website at the time of order confirmation, subject to the products being available at that time. Orders are payable in euros only. The price (inclusive of VAT) of each item that the customer would like to purchase, as well as the shipping costs, will be communicated by our customer service or through the website at the time of order. In accordance with Article L.121-19 of the French Consumer Code, the customer will receive upon delivery written confirmation of the price paid for each item with the shipping costs.

Article 4: Order placement and confirmation
4.1 Maximum amounts of orders
The maximum amount of an order made by a customer at any one time (same name, same address) cannot exceed 3,000 € inclusive of VAT (excluding shipping costs). Similarly, over the course of a 7-day period, it will not be possible for any one customer to place more than 3 orders, whose maximum total amount will not exceed 10.000 € inclusive of VAT (excluding shipping costs).

4.2 Internet orders
The customer declares to have read and accepted the present terms and conditions of sale prior to placing an order. Order validation implies unrestricted and unconditional acceptance of the present terms and conditions of sale.  In the case of prolonged inactivity during connection to the website, the items selected before this inactivity may no longer be available in the shopping cart. The customer will have to restart the product selection process.

Before finalizing and confirming an order – which implies acceptance of the said order - and in accordance with the provisions of Article 1369-5 of the Civil Code, the customer will be able to review the order and its total price and make any necessary corrections. Once the order has been confirmed by the customer, Taraka Tradition et Parfums will acknowledge receipt thereof electronically and without delay. Acknowledgment of receipt does not guarantee the ordered products’ availability or validation of the order’s payment.
The sale will only be considered final after Taraka Tradition et Parfums has sent confirmation of the order, stating that the items have been shipped. Only the items shipped will be charged, with the shipping fees.

Article 5: Availability
Products and prices are only valid whilst they are visible on the  website and while stocks last. Some products, available in limited quantities, might not be available at the time of order, in which case the customer will be informed at the time of placing the order. Errors or modifications can exceptionally occur, especially if the same products are ordered simultaneously by several customers. The customer will be informed of the possible unavailability of a product by email, or by any other means of communication (telephone, fax, etc.) within 15 days and will not be able to hold Taraka Tradition et Parfums responsible in any way. Should a product be unavailable, the customer will have the possibility of choosing another product in the same range or cancelling the order. If the buyer chooses to cancel the order, he or she will be immediately refunded and  the bank account credited if it was previously debited. The refund will occur at the latest within 30 days of payment by the customer.

Article 6: Personal information

6.1 Internet ordering
In order to be able to order a product on, new customers must create an account and fill out an order form containing some mandatory fields, which are considered as necessary for the processing of the said order.

6.2 Data collection from minors over the age of 16
Unemancipated minors do not have the capacity to conclude contracts. The parental authority should be informed of the collection of data concerning minors.

6.3 Storage and access to personal information
Personal data will be used by Taraka Tradition et Parfums for commercial, marketing and / or information purposes. This information may be communicated, as appropriate, to any third party contributing to the execution, processing and payment of the order. In accordance with the French law no. 78-17 of January 6th 1978 on privacy, data protection and freedom of information, Taraka Tradition et Parfums customers have a right to access, modify, rectify and delete any personal data. To exercise this right, the customer will have to do so in writing to Taraka Tradition et Parfums’ customer service (address in Article 1 above) or by e-mail to:

Article 7: Presentation and information on products

The photographs, graphic designs and descriptions of the products offered for sale are indicative only and in no way bind Taraka Tradition et Parfums.  Customers can obtain additional information by contacting Taraka Tradition et Parfums’ customer service by phone.

Article 8: Refusal of orders
In accordance with the provisions of Article L.122-1 of the Consumer Code, Taraka Tradition et Parfums is entitled to refuse any abnormal order or any order not placed in good faith. In addition, Taraka Tradition et Parfums is entitled to refuse any order from a customer with whom there is a dispute over the payment of a previous order.

Article 9: Shipping costs, delivery and handling times
The products are delivered by La Poste (Colissimo) within France and to other countries.
The products are shipped at the latest within two business days after the order is received.
Delivery times are:
- within metropolitan France:  48 hours maximum after the package has been handed over to La Poste.
- To French overseas departments and territories (Dom Tom): current business day + 10 days maximum after the package has been handed over to La Poste.
- To European countries:  current business day + 3 to 10 days maximum (depending on the geographical area) after the package has been handed over to La Poste.  
Delivery times are indicative and depend on the reliability of the postal services.

Shipping is free of charge for deliveries within France, to French overseas departments and territories (DOM TOM) and to countries within the European Union for all orders over 50 euros. For orders below this amount, shipping costs of 7 euros (at the time of writing) will be applied to all the aforementioned destinations.

Our shipping boxes cannot hold more than 3 items (perfumes and/or candles). For this reason, for orders of more than 3 items, the products may have to be shipped separately.

Regarding orders to countries that are not members of the European Union, the customer is considered the importer of the products concerned. Customs duties or other local taxes may be required and are the responsibility of the customer. Any delay in delivery times cannot give rise to any damages.

9.2 The items are delivered to the address indicated by the customer at the time of order (or a delivery note is provided if the customer is absent when delivery is made).

It is the customer's responsibility to check the condition and contents of the package upon reception and to express any reservations on the delivery bill if the package appears to have been opened or damaged. Signature of the delivery receipt without any reservations implies acceptance of the delivery.

Taraka Tradition et Parfums will not be held responsible for any damages to the products and their packaging caused during transport.

9.3 In accordance with the provisions of Article L.121-20-3 of the Consumer Code, delivery of the ordered items will occur no later than 30 days from the day of the order, subject to full payment of the price. The delivery time varies depending on the type of port and the place of delivery. It runs from the receipt of payment or the time of the banking authorization.

Article 10: Conditions and methods of payment
Payment of purchases can be made by credit card only. The following credit cards are accepted: all cards that are part of the “CB” network, Visa, Eurocard, Mastercard, American Express and Diners.
Payment is handled via the secured payment server of our banking partner, C.I.C. This implies that no client banking information passes through the site. Payment by credit card is therefore perfectly secure.

Article 11: Cancellation / Right of withdrawal / Returns

11.1 Order cancellation
To be taken into account, all cancellation requests must be made before the products are shipped, and no later than 24 hours before the date of departure of the packages. This cancellation must be made directly to Taraka Tradition et Parfums’ customer service by phone at + 33 (0) 1 42 42 64 56 or by email to

11.2 Right of withdrawal
In application of the provisions of Article L.121-20 of the Consumer Code, the customer has 7 full days from the delivery of the order to return the item(s) for an exchange or refund, without any penalties except for the return shipping costs.
The customer must inform Taraka Tradition et Parfums’ customer service in writing of this decision (through our contact form in the "Contact" section of our website, or by letter), before returning the goods. The return costs will be borne by the customer. The value of the returned products will be refunded to the customer, excluding the initial shipping costs, without delay and no later than 30 days following the date on which the right of withdrawal will have been exercised. In the case of an exchange, the costs of return and shipping of the replacement products will be borne by Taraka Tradition et Parfums.

11.3 Return of non-compliant or damaged products
In the event that one or more products are not compliant with the customer’s order or are defective or damaged, the customer must immediately inform Taraka Tradition et Perfums and must return the products at Taraka Tradition et Perfums’ expense within 30 days from their delivery. The replacement product(s) will be reshipped to the customer at the expense of Taraka Tradition et Parfums. In the event that the returned product(s) are no longer available, Taraka Tradition et Parfums will inform the customer and refund the customer the amount of the said products.

For hygiene and safety reasons, unsealed products will not be exchanged or refunded.

In the event that the buyer cannot acknowledge receipt of the package and that the products are returned to Taraka Tradition et Perfums, the buyer will be refunded the amount of the order minus the shipping costs. A new order will have to be placed for the items to be shipped again.

Article 12: Reservation of ownership
Until the actual and full payment of the price, Taraka Tradition et Parfums remains the owner of the products sold. The complete payment will signify transfer of property. However, the customer becomes responsible for the items from the moment of delivery, the transfer of ownership implying transfer of the risks.

Article 13: Applicable law - litigation
13.1 These terms of sale are subject to French law.

13.2 If you are having difficulties in applying these general terms and conditions of sale, please contact us (address in Article 1 above) to try to find an amicable solution.

13.3 If the negotiations fail, the following provisions will apply:
13.3.1 Contract concluded by a French consumer from France:
Any dispute arising in connection with the execution or interpretation of this contract will be brought before the jurisdiction of the defendant's home address or place of delivery.

13.3.2 Contract concluded by a consumer placing an order from another European Union country:
Any dispute arising in connection with the execution or interpretation of this contract will be brought before the competent courts under the directives and regulations of the European Union (Brussels Convention, September 27, 1968).
